The scent of rain brings forth my all-time high.
Visions distorted by wet windows,
lost cars wander like grieving widows.
Branches litter the lawns of my neighbors.
Let me taste the rain's poison flavor.
"This is the break-through," he lets escape him.
"With any luck, the roof will cave in."
Every time the wind picks up, I hear another knocking.
"The beginning of the end," Logic cackles, almost mocking.
A fate like this seems all too drastic.
"Sweet relief sounds quite fantastic."
"Perhaps you're right.' The tone of Desire
screams, "Let's set the world on fire."
